Edward Wang was born in Changsha, Hunan Province, originally from Beijing, standing 188. Born in a sports family, his father is a professional volleyball player, and he likes to play basketball from an early age. He was selected by the Tianjin Lion baseball team at 17 and began his career as a baseball player.

 

At 19, he won the title of national first-class baseball player. He left the team at 24 and graduated from Tianjin Institute of physical Education and Sports with a bachelor's degree in sports training.​

 

At the age of 25, he majored in acting at the Beijing Film Academy and began filming. The first play, “The Legend of the Old Gun," began to emerge in the film and television drama and was highly recognized by Hong Kong film and television actor Deric Wen. He ran for Mr. Suit in 2016 and won the national runner-up. In the following years, he filmed Huawei, Lenovo, PetroChina and other brand advertisements.

 

In 2019, he took part in the Korean Fitness Invitational Competition and scored fifth in place. The 2020 film “The Precious Detective" plays the role of the male No. 1 Harrier.
